Storm Cleanup Program Begins This Month In Trumbull
Trumbull has announced a town-wide pickup of storm-related brush and debris caused by recent storms. Here's what residents need to know.

TRUMBULL, CT — A town-wide pickup of storm-related brush and debris caused by recent storms is scheduled to begin next week in Trumbull.
According to the town website, cleanup will begin Monday, August 12, during which the town will be divided into four quadrants.
The program will start on Park Lane area and work through the northwest quadrant first, then work clockwise through the town.

Residents can track the cleanup progress by viewing the town's storm cleanup progress map, which is updated daily. There will only be one cleanup pass on each street, according to town officials.

Storm-related brush and debris should be cut into lengths of no more than 4 feet long and placed at curbside for pickup. There is no need to call to make an appointment for debris pickup, town officials said.
The Public Works Department will only pass through each street in town once for storm cleanup.
Piles must be accessible for machine pickup, and cannot be placed behind poles, stonewalls, or other obstacles that impede the use of payloaders or backhoes, town officials said.
The Public Works Department does not remove private trees from residents' yards or driveways. If a resident has a fallen tree, they must cut it up into 4-foot sections and place it by their curb for pickup, according to town officials.
Storm Cleanup Quadrants
The Public Works Department will only pickup storm debris once from a street.
The town is sectioned into four quadrants: northeast, northwest, southeast, southwest, with Route 25 running down the middle.
Following will be the progression, according to town officials:
- Northwest Quadrant: West of Route 25, then
- Northeast Quadrant: East of Route 25, will begin in the north, will move south, and will pick up on streets up to and including Strobel Road, then
- Southeast Quadrant: East of Route 25, will pick up from Strobel Road., south to the Town border, then
- Southwest Quadrant: West of Route 25, until finished.
