The Buzz in Trumbull: Children Studying Bees, TYA Musical

Here's some of what's happening in Trumbull this week:

Monday, July 29: 

  • Buzzing Bumblebees!  10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.  Drop-in storytime for ages birth to 2 years old, with their parent or caregiver at the Fairchild Branch Library.  Join us for fun stories and music. Child or caregiver Trumbull resident.
  • Town Council Legislation and Administratlion, (L&A) Committee, 7 p.m., Town Hall
Tuesday, July 30: 
  • The Language of Letting Go, 7 p.m., Grace Church
  • Bugs Love Flowers, at the Fairchild Library.  11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Just for the little ones:  join us for silly bug stories and make a fun flower and bug mask-on-a-stick. For ages 3-5.  Register.  Space limited.  Child/caregiver Trumbull resident.
  • The Bernadettes (Rhythm & Blues), Summer Concert Series at the Town Hall Gazebo, 7 p.m.    
Wednesday, July 31:
  • Suminagashi Workshop with Suzanne Uznanski.  Teens:  Back to Basics-Read Summer Activities!  3 p.m. – 4 p.m.  Librarian and art enthusiast Suzanne brings back her popular Japanese paper marbling workshop to the Trumbull Library. All materials provided.  Limited to 20, going into 6th to 12th grades.  Register, 203-452-5197
  • Sparky's Puppets Presents Tales of the Sea & Shore --- Back to Basics-Read!  11 - 11:45 a.m.  Help the pirate and his parrot solve clues that lead to the discovery of buried treasure...a chest full of stories that take place at the seaside.  Drop-in.  Child/caregiver a Trumbull resident.

      
Thursday, Aug. 1:
  • Trumbull Farmers' Market, 2 p.m. - 6 p.m., Long Hill Green, Trumbull
  • "Thoroughly Modern Millie," performed by the Trumbull Youth Association, opens at Trumbull High School, Aug. 1-3, 8 p.m., and Aug. 4, 2 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 2: 
  • Joanna M. Leone of Trumbull signs copies of her book "Slices of Life" at the Bijou Theater in Bridgeport, 7 p.m., 275 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport
  • New York City Swing @ The Bijou, 8 p.m., 275 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport
  • "Thoroughly Modern Millie," performed by the Trumbull Youth Association, opens at Trumbull High School, Aug. 1-3, 8 p.m. and Aug. 4, 2 p.m.
