Traffic Counter Installed At Trumbull Intersection: Town

MetroCOG recently installed a traffic counter at an intersection in Trumbull to collect data, according to the town.

TRUMBULL, CT — A traffic counter was recently installed at an intersection in Trumbull, which the town will use to evaluate whether a traffic light is needed in the area, town officials announced Tuesday.

According to the town website, Trumbull's regional planning agency, MetroCOG, installed the traffic counter at the intersection of Daniels Farm and Hedgehog roads.

Town officials noted the count equipment "is non-intrusive, so there should be no impacts or obstruction of the counter to the roadway, traffic, pedestrians or private property."
