A tree worker and a motorist are accused of scuffling on Pinewood Trail in Trumbull.
The driver, Kenneth Scribner, 59, of Pinewood Trail, Trumbull, is charged with evading, using a cell phone while driving and second-degree reckless endangerment.
The tree worker, Jeffrey Johnson Dalton, 46, of Oronoque Road, Milford, is charged with second-degree breach of the peace and third-degree assault.
Police said Scribner stopped his car while a tree crew was working. He was allegedly using his cell phone.
When Dalton signaled him to move, he refused and an argument broke out. Somehow during the incident Dalton made contact with Scribner's car and was knocked to the ground, but police did not know if Scribner hit him.
Dalton was treated at the scene but not taken to a hospital, police said. Scribner drove away but was later tracked down at his home, where he was arrested.
Dalton's bond was set at $1,000 and Scribner was released on a written promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
