Mario Eddy Bertrand, 50, of Brooks Street, Bridgeport is charged with risk of injury to a minor, second-degree breach of the peace and third-degree assault on an elderly person.
Police said he and woman argued outside of the Westfield Trumbull Mall, where he punched her in the neck and face.
His bond was set at $25,000 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
