Bienvenido "Benny" Garcia, 44, of Palisade Avenue, Bridgeport, is charged with sixth-degree larceny from Kohl's. Police said Garcia was spotted by an off-duty police officer running toward the woods after the alleged shoplifting. Stolen were: $139 in watches, seven pairs of Nike shorts and two Nike shirts, totaling $301. Other suspects fled the scene and were not immediately arrested. His bond was set at $500 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
