Joseph W. Epifano, 52, of Inverness Road, is charged with second-degree breach of the peace and assault of a victim older than 60.
Police said the alleged victim pulled into Epifano's driveway and refused to leave despite being asked to do.
Epifano then followed him and they pulled into a business parking lot where he tried to pull the man out of the car.
The alleged victim, 67, was issued a warning for trespassing and soliciting. Epifano's bond was set at $500 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
