Donald Thompson, 25, of Brooklyn, N.Y., is charged with five counts of illegal reproduction of a credit card, and single counts of sixth-degree larceny and illegal use of a credit card.
Police said Thompson tried to buy a gift card with another gift card at Lord & Taylor.
His bond was set at $10,000 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
