Jeff Charles, 19, of Harral Avenue, Bridgeport, is accused of taking checks from a Trumbull resident and cashing some of them for $2,650.
Charles is charged with third-degree larceny, fraudulent use of an ATM and third-degree forgery.
Police said Charles took the checks while the resident went away for a week. A total of $7,750 was taken from the owner, police said.
Charles' bond was set at $5,000 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
