Daniel Centeno, 43, of Barnum Avenue, Bridgeport, is charged with third-degree criminal trespass and fifth-degree larceny.
Police said Centeno took six handbags totaling $600 from Lord & Taylor without paying on Sept. 25.
He had been banned from the store, police said.
Centeno was also charged with violating conditions of release, and his bonds totaled $11,000 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
