Trumbull Cops: Woman Stole from Lord and Taylor

Evangelina Torres Cerrantes, 47, of East Main Street, Bridgeport, is charged with first-degree criminal trespass and fifth-degree larceny.

Police said Cerrantes took clothing from Lord & Taylor in the Westfield Trumbull Mall and put it into an empty Lord & Taylor bag and left the store. The merchandise totaled $978, police said.

She had been banned from the store on Oct. 23, police said.

Cerrantes' bond was set at $500 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
