Trumbull Democrats Announce Full Slate For 2025 Municipal Election

TRUMBULL, CT — The Trumbull Democratic Town Committee finalized and announced its full slate of candidates for the 2025 municipal election at its official meeting Monday.

According to a news release provided by the TDTC, the slate is led by First Selectman Vicki Tesoro, who is seeking re-election.

"Trumbull is a great town, and we've worked hard to keep it that way," Tesoro said in a news release. "This election is about continuing that progress with responsible leadership, smart investment, and a commitment to the services that make our town a strong place to live, work, and raise a family."

Tesoro is joined by Town Clerk Mary Markham and Town Treasurer Anthony Musto, who are both also running for re-election.

"This slate represents public service and a commitment to the town," TDTC Chair Ashley Gaudiano said in a news release. "In the eight years I’ve been involved in assembling slates, this is the one I’m most excited about."

Candidates will appear on the ballot for Town Council in all seven districts, as well as for the Board of Finance, Board of Education, Planning & Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Assessment Appeals and constables, according to TDTC.

"This election is about continuing the work that’s already underway and addressing what still needs to be done," Gaudiano said.

According to TDTC, the Town Council race in 2023 was decided by one seat and two votes. The Democratic Party will run candidates in each district in 2025.

"We've made real progress over the last eight years," Tesoro said, "on education, public safety, town finances, and quality of life, and we’re not done yet. This election is about continuing that work, standing up for facts, and making sure Trumbull remains a strong, vibrant, and inclusive community for everyone."

The municipal election will be held Nov. 4, 2025.
