Thousands of Trumbull residents have cast their votes in the 2023 municipal election in a number of key races.

TRUMBULL, CT — Democratic incumbent Vicki Tesoro is the projected winner on election night in Trumbull's first selectman race, the Connecticut Post reports.

Tesoro claimed victory Tuesday night over challenger David Pia, a Republican, securing her fourth term as first selectman, according to unofficial results. Pia conceded shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday night and wished Tesoro the best, according to the Connecticut Post.

Unofficial vote totals were not yet available on the Connecticut Secretary of State's website just before midnight on election night.

The Democratic candidate is Vicki Tesoro and the Republican candidate is David Pia.

Town Clerk

The Democratic candidate is Mary Markham and the Republican candidate is Lisa Valenti.

Town Treasurer

The Democratic candidate is Anthony Musto and the Republican candidate is John DelVecchio Jr.

Board of Finance

The Democratic candidates are: Paul Timpanelli, David Galla and Tim Cantafio. The Republican candidates are: Mark Block, Christopher DeCruze and Rosemary Seaman.

Board of Education

The Democratic candidates are: Lucinda Timpanelli, Julia McNamee, Patricia Borghesan and Susan Schaaf. The Republican candidates are: Chris Bandecchi, Bob Gerbert, Gloria Manna and Alison Squiccimarro.

Board of Assessment Appeals

The Democratic candidate is Anthony D'Aquila and the Republican candidate is Richard Croll.

Planning and Zoning boards and commissions

For the Planning and Zoning Commission, Democratic candidate Karen DelVecchio is running against Republican candidate Matt Sather for a five-year term beginning this year. Separately, Frederick Garrity Jr., a Democrat, is running against Bryce Bollert, a Republican, for a five-year term beginning in 2024.

For the Zoning Board of Appeals, Democratic candidate Catherine Creager is running against Republican Kim DiCorpo for a five-year term beginning this year. Separately, Steven Elbaum, a Democrat, is running against Pete Koval, a Republican, for a five-year term beginning in 2024.

Constable

The Democratic candidates are: Raymond Baldwin and David Kayne. The Republican candidates are: Jeff Penkoff and Patricia Kelly.

Town Council District 1

The Democratic candidates are Debra Silber and Mary Isaac. The Republican candidates are Eric Story and Mike Buswell.

Town Council District 2

The Democratic candidates are Jennifer Winschel and Bill Mecca. The Republican candidates are Ann Sather and George Sarris.

Town Council District 3

The Democratic candidates are Jason Marsh and Alissa Hall. The Republican candidates are Richard Wolf and Veronica Lenzen.

Town Council District 4

The Democratic candidates are Ashley Gaudiano and Joanne Glasser-Orenstein. The Republican candidates are Anthony Dorsey and Carl Massaro.

Town Council District 5

The Democratic candidates are Scott Wich and Nan Swan. The Republican candidates are John Foreman and Joe Pifko.

Town Council District 6

The Democratic candidates are Kelly Mallozzi and Joy Colon. The Republican candidates are Justin Scheuble and Steve Lemoine.

Town Council District 7
