Trumbull Firefighters Remove Rings Stuck On Person's Finger: Long Hill FD

Long Hill fire officials said crews used a ring cutter tool to remove the pieces of jewelry from the person's finger.

TRUMBULL, CT — Firefighters removed two rings stuck on a person's finger Saturday night in Trumbull, according to fire officials.

According to the Long Hill Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Inc. Facebook page, a person walked up to Long Hill Station 2 around 8 p.m. asking for help removing a set of rings from their finger.

Crews used a "ring cutter," a small precise tool carried on their trucks for use in such instances, to remove the rings with minimal damage so they could be properly repaired by a jeweler, Long Hill officials said.
