Trumbull Health Department Celebrates Volunteer Appreciation Week
"We are better together"
The Trumbull Health Department wants to thank all our volunteers for their tremendous support during the COVID-19 pandemic. The countless hours given were crucial to managing vaccination clinics, homebound resident vaccinations, and distributing personal protection equipment (PPE). Volunteers also assisted in distributing thousands of masks and personal protection equipment and assist at food distribution sites.” In celebration of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, the Trumbull Health Department thanks you for your commitment to our community!
Many volunteers were from local organizations, such as CT Responds!, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the Stratford-Trumbull-Monroe Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). We also had many members of our community who volunteered directly through the Trumbull Health Department.
“The support of volunteers was vital to our success,” said Luci Bango, Trumbull Health Department Director of Health. “Because of you, our department was able to vaccinate more than 15,000 residents. This includes our homebound and vulnerable populations.”
