Trumbull Leaders' New Year's Resolutions For 2025

TRUMBULL, CT — As 2024 comes to a close and Trumbull gets ready to ring in the new year, many residents will likely find themselves making a list of resolutions for when the clock strikes midnight on Jan. 1.

In light of this, Patch reached out to various leaders throughout town and asked what their new year's resolution was for Trumbull, or their department, in 2025.

Here is what they had to say:

First Selectman Vicki Tesoro

"Trumbull is a town with extraordinary people who continually give back to make this great town even better.

The following is my new year's resolution for 2025:

I am committed to making sure Trumbull remains a thriving and affordable community. I am committed to the success of our residents and our businesses. I will continue, as I have done for the past seven years, to work together with a focus on the common purpose of continued progress for our town.

Trumbull is a wonderful community, and I am confident in its future."

Economic and Community Development Director Rina Bakalar

"In 2025, I am looking forward to the beginning of transformation in Trumbull Center, getting the groundwork laid for the future of the Trumbull Mall area, a new grocery store coming to town, the redevelopment of Cambridge Drive, and growth in our corporate community. That is if no one acts like a Scrooge!"

"My hope for Trumbull in 2025 is that our community comes together in harmony and acceptance. Each individual who lives and works in this town is valuable, worthy and deserves to be treated with love and respect. Displaying tolerance and patience for all those we come in contact with will create a beautiful and peaceful connection that trickles down to generations to come. My professional plan is to continue to create free, community offerings in the fields of music and entertainment. So grab a cup of coffee and catch your breath, toss away stuff you don’t need in the end, we’re all in this together so just relax, you’re doing fine - let’s get this show on the road!
