Trumbull Little League is bringing new meaning to the word "safe."
The league recently bought two units for Unity Park "as part of its ongoing commitment to the safety of all participants and spectators," it said recently.
The two AEDs are upstairs in the two Unity press boxes (Unity 3/4 press box and Unity 1 press box) and are accessible during scheduled games if an emergency arises.
The AEDs should be used only by those who are qualified.
"It is our hope that no such emergencies occur at Unity Field, but we wanted to be prepared just in case," the directors said.
If any emergency occurs, call 911 as soon as possible.
To become CPR and AED certified, contact Trumbull EMS or the American Safety & Health Institute.
"It's nice to know they have one. It's great. I encourage private businesses and community groups to purchase AEDs," said TEMS Executive Director Joe Laucella.
