Trumbull Man Charged With Violent Sexual Assault: PD
BREAKING: Police say the man grabbed the woman by the throat and sexually assaulted her.

TRUMBULL, CT — A local man accused of a violent sexual assault was arrested Monday, according to Trumbull police.
Richard Gray, 43, is accused of grabbing the victim by the throat and sexually assaulting her after an argument in which the victim said he was drunk. The victim also told police Gray put her in a headlock and threatened to strike her with a bottle.
The victim told police Gray was angry at her and had been drinking during the evening before the argument ensued. When she broke free to call 911, Gray threw her cell phone and broke it. Police say Gray then threw the victim into another room where he sexually assaulted her.

The victim was transported to a local hospital. Gray was arrested at his home and charged with unlawful restraint, strangulation, assault, sexual assault, threatening, interfering with a 911 call and disorderly conduct.
He was held on a $250,000 bond and was due in court Monday.
