The town has announced details for its 2025 Memorial Day Parade in Trumbull. Here's what you need to know.
TRUMBULL, CT — The town has announced details for its 2025 Memorial Day Parade, scheduled to take place May 26 in Trumbull.
According to the town website, Trumbull hosts its annual Memorial Day Parade "to remember and honor the military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces."
The event will feature veterans and dignitaries, antique cars, marching bands, color guards, schools, scouts and sports teams.

A brief ceremony and wreath-laying held "in recognition of the lives lost in Vietnam" will take place at the Vietnam Memorial on White Plains Road at 8 a.m., and all are welcome to attend.
The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. in front of Town Hall. A wreath-laying ceremony "honoring those lives lost in other wars" will also be held at Town Hall at this time, according to the town.

The parade will step off at 10 a.m., beginning at the new Long Hill Market shopping plaza and ending at Town Hall.
The town will fly flags on Main Street from Memorial Day until Sept. 11, 2025. Anyone who wishes to sponsor a flag is asked to visit the town's flag sponsor page.
The town will also hold a Memorial Day Parade theme contest open to all Trumbull students in grades 6-8.
Students who enter the contest are invited to design a theme for the parade banner centered around the meaning of Memorial Day, which will then be carried in the parade, according to the town.
