Trumbull Police Hiring For School Crossing Guard Position

Applicants must be available for regular school start and end times, as well as for late openings anf early dismissals.

TRUMBULL, CT — The Trumbull Police Department is currently hiring for an open school crossing guard position.

According to the town website, the job opening is for a school crossing guard position at Jane Ryan Elementary School for the "Frelma/Park La Post."

The position's schedule is listed as mornings fro 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and afternoons from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Applicants must be available for regular school start and end times, as well as for late openings and early dismissals.

The position pays $15.75 per hour for two hours per day on school days only. Paid PTO, no other benefits, and all necessary equipment and training are supplied.

Candidates must submit fingerprints and pass a background check. Police also emphasized that all applicants must be able to commit to the position for at least the 2024-2025 school year.
