Trumbull Releases Updated Route 111 Construction Schedule

The town has released an updated milling, paving and traffic signal activation schedule for the Route 111 construction project.

TRUMBULL, CT — The town has released an updated milling, paving and traffic signal activation schedule for the Route 111 signal installation, roadway and trail improvement project near the Fitness Edge Plaza on Monroe Turnpike.

According to the town website, the project is nearing completion over the next few weeks.

Town officials have provided the following schedule to keep the community advised as to the anticipated construction and potential traffic in the area.

Officials also noted the schedule is considered a guide and can change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.

  • Monday, July 17–Thursday, July 20 – Milling and Paving
  • Friday, July 21 – Traffic Signal Placed in Flashing Operation (yellow flashing for Route 111; red flashing for plaza driveway) by this date
  • Friday, July 21–Monday, July 24 – Apply Pavement Markings and Signage
  • Wednesday July 26 – Traffic Signal Activation

For the milling and paving, police officers will be present to direct traffic into and out of the plaza driveway. Work hours are expected to be between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., according to town officials.

Town officials also noted residents should expect delays through the area, both on Route 111 and Route 25. More information is available here.
