The town will hold its annual flag retirement ceremony tonight at the VFW Post 10059 on Whitney Avenue.
Bring your old flag to the ceremony or it can be dropped off at Town Hall.
According to flagkeeper.org, the U.S. Flag Code states, "The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."
