No
Previous public office, appointive or elective:
Currently serving my 4th term on our Vernon Town Council
Why are you seeking this office?
To continue improving Vernon/ Rockville for all my neighbors as I've been doing for the past 8 years
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Budgetary Pressures that our town faces due to State spending cuts and unfunded mandates that call for experienced leadership and refined knowledge. Managing our budget and providing our citizens with the excellence in service they deserve takes alot of knowledge not only of your Town but the continued cuts in funding from our State.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Experience and a proven track record
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Keep improving our infrastructure, public facilities, improve internal efficiency for possible savings in our budget.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I'm in my 8th year proudly serving my neighbors on there Town Council we have accomplished so much like a new community pool , dog park , sports complex , many miles of new sidewalks, cross walk solar flashing lights for rails to trails safety, led street lights , citizens block ribbon cutting, new ambulances and firetrucks for better public safety, astroturf on the RHS football field, Gene Pitney Memorial Park, and so much more all while lowering our mill rate.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
My Grandpa said to me when I was a kid " If your going to do something do it right"!
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
As a life long 06066 resident my family has over 70 years of dedicated service to our town and I take pride in my families legacy. Ten years ago I started and currently serve as President of my 501C3 non profit to bring back our Santa House that we remember growing up in the 70's but much better and no tax dollars involved. This year is our 10 year Anniversary since we built our beloved house and look forward to Santa and Mrs Claus in Central Park in Rockville this year. The memories of the past 10 years with all the families is remarkable and I have obtained funding to ensure this memory will live on for many years to come.
