2025 Vernon July In The Sky Fireworks Celebration — The Details

VERNON, CT — Here are the details for Wednesday's 79th annual town of Vernon July in the Sky Fireworks celebration.

The rain date is Thursday.

The fireworks show will begin after 9 p.m., depending on darkness. Fireworks are shot off from Fox Hill atop Henry Park.

Henry Park

• Gates open at 6 p.m. Gates will close for entrance at 9 p.m. or when park is full, whichever occurs first.
• The car entrance fee is $10 (cash only) Once parked, cars cannot leave the event until the fireworks show is over at approximately 10 p.m.
• The walk-in entrance fee is $2 per person (cash only)
• The food court and music is sponsored by Scranton Motors. Live music by TOP Band will start at 7 p.m. Food vendors will consist of consisting of New England soft serve ice cream, fried dough, chicken tenders, Rolling Smokehouse, Travelin' Tom's Coffee, Cousins Maine Lobster, Jeff's Kettle Korn, Kona Ice and more.
• The Fun Zone, -sponsored by ECHN and Vernon Diner, runs from 6 to 9 p.m. All-access bracelets are $15 (cash only).
• Face painting is included with a wrist band purchase.

Downtown Rockville

• The Bryan Flint Push, Pedal, Pull Patriotic Parade will kick off the festivities. Kids of all ages can bring a non-motorized mode of transportation to the parade (wagons, strollers, bikes, trikes, skateboards, roller blades, etc.). Decorating is from 5 to 6 p.m. with judging from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The parade will commence at 6:30 p.m. All entries must have Red, White, and Blue decorations or clothing to participate. No pre-registration is required.
• Live music, sponsored by Scranton Motors, features the Better Than Chips band and starts at 7 p.m.
• The Fun Zone runs from 6 to 9 p.m. nand featured free games and activities.
• Food vendors include The Local Lemon, Kona Ice, LuAnn's and Rockville Booster Club burgers, hot dogs and snacks.
• Novelty toys/items are for sale.
• The Painted Smile face paint, glitter and henna are featured for a fee.
