
The Friends of Valley Falls will hold Artists Day 12-3 pm Sept. 14 at the Valley Falls Farm and Heritage Center. This is the rescheduled date due to inclement weather. Local artists will paint in the "Plein Air" method to capture the farm's scenic views. Completed paintings will be sold, as well as other works by the artists. Musicians Handler and Levesque will play 1-3 pm from the farmhouse porch and the six buildings that comprise the Heritage Center's museum will be open, with a guided tour at 1 pm. Local historian Jon Roe will share recent research on Anson Lyman, an early owner of the farm at 2 pm. Free admission; limited parking at the Red Barn, 345 Valley Falls Rd., Vernon, or park at Valley Falls Park, 300 Valley Falls Rd., and walk the path to the barn.
