Date Set For 2-Candidate Vernon Town Council Runoff
A special election is being staged for the 12th and final Vernon Town Council seat.

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Registrars of the Voters Monday announced that a special election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the town’s regular voting locations — Northeast School, Rockville High School, Vernon Center Middle School and Skinner Road School.
School will not be in session that day, officials said.
The election is being staged because a recount produced a tie vote between Republican Bill Campbell and Democrat Bill Dauphin for the 12th and final Town Council seat. Campbell, an incumbent, and Dauphin both wound up with 2,693 votes after the recount. The recount added six votes to Dauphin's total and added four to Campbell's, wiping out Campbell's original two-vote win.
