Dog Rescued From I-84 Now Home And Safe: Police
A dog found on a northern stretch of I-84 is back home, authorities said.

VERNON, CT — A dog rescued from a section of Interstate 84 is now "home" and safe, Vernon police and Animal Control officers said.
The male canine that seemed to be a Bernese Mountain Dog was located Monday on the highway near Exit 73 in Union and was dropped off at the Vernon police department.
Vernon police, along with state police out of the Troop C barracks and Vernon animal control were working together in an effort to solve the mystery and locate the dog's owner.

The dog was 'cold and wet' but otherwise OK, Vernon police said.
Animal Control officers offered few details Wednesday but said on social media that the dog, named "Kevin," was safe and back at his home.
