Drug Task Force Breaks Up Operation At Vernon Apartment Complex
A regional drug task force raided an apartment in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — The East Central Narcotics Task Force has broken up a drug operation at an apartment complex in Vernon, police said.
Details of the Sept. 17 raid were released to begin this week.
That day, task force members, with two warrants in hand related to an "ongoing narcotics investigation," searched an apartment on Park West Drive, an incident report says. They located a "large quantity" of drug paraphernalia and "numerous items" with crack cocaine residue on them, according to an incident report.

A 56-year-old resident was first detained during the search and then taken into custody, according to an incident report. She was charged with her third offense of possessing a controlled substance and the use of drug paraphernalia, police said.
She is due in court on Oct. 3, records show.
