Gallery: Vernon's 2024 July in the Sky Celebration

VERNON, CT — Vernon staged its annual July in the Sky fireworks show Tuesday with block parties at both Henry Park and in Downtown Rockville and the extensive show lit off from atop Fox Hill.

Vernon's traditional Tuesday after the fourth date marks one of the latest Independence Day shows in the state.

The day started off with the time-consuming task of setting off the charges and concluded with the sky being lit up. In between, there was a time to mingle, food, games, the annual Push, Pedal and Pull Patriotic Parade and visits from Vernon police dog Franco and Uncle Sam.
