Incident At Vernon Discount Store Leads To Sexual Assault Charge: Warrant
A Coventry man is accused of improper actions at a store in Vernon, a warrant says.

VERNON, CT — A Coventry man is facing a felony sex assault charge in Vernon in Connection with an incident at a local store, police said.
On Friday, Coventry police notified Vernon police that they had 47-year-old Coventry resident Christopher McMahon in custody on the Vernon warrant. He was taken into custody and charged with third-degree sexual assault, second-degree unlawful restraint and second-degree breach of peace.
A warrant states that McMahon is accused of forcing himself on a woman at the downtown Rockville Dollar General store with actions that included grabbing and an attempt at kissing.

He is also accused of punching the woman, according to a warrant.
McMahon was to appear in court Monday with a $40,000 bond assigned to the case.
