Last Remaining Connecticut Location Of Brick Oven Pizza Chain Closes
The last remaining Connecticut location of a once-mighty pizza chain has been shuttered.

GLASTONBURY, CT — The Bertucci's brand has now vanished from the Connecticut business landscape.
The final location of the chain in the Nutmeg State — known for it's brick oven pizzas and Italian-themed menu — has been shuttered at 2882 Main St. in. Glastonbury. That's in the Griswold Shopping Center.
A Google search of Bertucci's locations across Connecticut lists Glastonbury as being "permanently closed" and calls to the now-former restaurant are greeted with the declaration that, "this location has permanently closed," followed by "We'd like to thank all of our loyal customers for their patronage over the years."

The chain had closed seven of its 22 stores prior to the filing, a case management summary associated with the bankruptcy proceedings said. Bertucci’s cited an unanticipated deterioration in the economy and decreased consumer spending at "legacy" casual dining chains as factors in its financial struggles.
