Leaf Season Bumping Bulky Waste Pickups In Vernon
"We will temporarily pause the bulky waste pick-up program to focus on leave collection," the DPW director said.
VERNON, CT — Leaf season is putting the bulky waste program in Vernon on the shelf.
The town of Vernon's annual leaf collection program is set to begin on Nov. 3rd and for the Department of Public Works, "that means all hands-on deck," DPW Director Dwight Ryniewicz said. "We will temporarily pause the bulky waste pick-up program to focus on leave collection."
The pause will commence the week of Nov. 9 and continue through mid-December or until leaf collection is complete, he said.

Those wishing to get on the bulky waste pick-up waiting list, can call the public works Office at 860-870-3500.
