VERNON, CT — The Memorial Day weekend brings a change to the trash and recycling schedule in Vernon.

The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Monday May 26, 2025 in observance of Memorial Day. Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Tuesday May 27, 2025 along with that day's collection.

If delays occur, residents should leave carts at the curb.
