New Walk-Up Ice Cream Shop Coming To Vernon
What once was a drive-up is being transformed into a walk-up ice cream shop in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — It was a drive-up, but now it's going to be a walk-up. Either way, a new ice cream shop is coming to Vernon this summer.
Frank Guadagnino told Patch Monday that he is opening a new ice cream stand called Frankie G's Ice Cream and it will located at the old Dunkin’ Donuts drive-through at the Vernon Shell station, 448 Hartford Turnpike.
"We’ll be serving classic soft serve and fun frozen treats, perfect for summer days or just a cool break on the go," he said. "I'm proud to bring something fresh and fun to Vernon."

The old Dunkin' drive-up window is located behind the building. The driveway will be used as a walk-up area and a picnic area will be set up around it, Guadagnino said.
