Obituary: Patricia Smith, 81

SOUTH WINDSOR-VERNON, CT —Patricia Margaret Smith (McCrystal), 81, of South Windsor and formerly of Vernon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. She had been the loving wife of the late Charles A. Smith for 47 years.

Patricia was born on March 3, 1942 to the late Daniel and Mary McCrystal. "Mimi" will be most remembered for her devotion to her 10 grandchildren, whom she loved more than life itself, and of course her deep affection for all animals, especially her beloved Kiwi and grand dog Brady. Patricia will be forever remembered for her Sunday afternoon family dinners and her heartfelt Christmas Eve gatherings.

Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She leaves behind her three daughters: Lori Stewart and husband Bruce, Lisa Bowden and husband Robert, and Robin Lagasse and husband Paul. She was predeceased by her son, Michael C. Smith. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren: Nick Stewart and his fiancée Haley Ullinger, Mackenzie Bowden, Jacob Lagasse, Sam Stewart, Luke Bowden, Charles Lagasse, Casey Bowden, Maya Lagasse, Eve Lagasse and Elizabeth Mercer Neff. She leaves behind her brother and his wife James and Judy McCrystal of Greenville, RI, her sister Theresa Jensen of Southbury, and many cousins. She also leaves behind her dear friends, Mary Noonan and Priscilla Ptasznik of Berry Patch. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Roger Jensen.
