Jacob’s Well Christian Coffeehouse will feature national country gospel singer Olivia Lane from Nashville on Friday, June 2. Doors open at 7 pm and the performance starts at 7:30 pm. This event will be held in the beautiful, 600-seat, circa 1890 Union Church sanctuary at 3 Elm Street in the historic Rockville section of Vernon. Admission is free and open to the public. Dress is casual.

Originally from Houston, Lane was raised in a musical household. Her mother was a local Texas country singer and helped to foster her passion for music. “I always had music pumping through my veins,” she recalls. The singer-songwriter’s love of music found her embracing musical theater at a young age. She then moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, graduating from the University of Southern California where she studied theater and songwriting. She then felt called to move to Nashville.

Lane’s latest single, “Living Instead,” details the overwhelming anxiety and self-doubt that led her to losing her voice in 2017. She knew the way she was living, and her self-view, had to change. “Now I live for today,” she says; “Get out of your head and start living instead.”

Known for documenting her own transformation from a non-believer to a faithful follower, or as she calls it, “from atheist to amen,” Lane began sharing her song “I Believe It Now,” and ended up collaborating with the popular Christian band Sidewalk Prophets in the recording studio.

“I Believe It Now” is her second faith-driven hit. In 2021, she released “Woman at the Well,” a single inspired not only by her turn to God, but also her longtime roots in modern country music. She is currently in the studio working on her next faith-based project due out later this year.

“It’s only appropriate that a singer with a hit song “Woman at the Well” would sing at Jacob’s Well Coffeehouse,” says coffeehouse director Drew Crandall; “I encourage country and gospel music lovers from throughout the area to come to this free concert.”
