Owner Of Once-Popular Eateries In Vernon, Manchester, Dies At 83

The owner of a once-popular pizza restaurant in Vernon and a diner in Manchester has died at the age of 83.

VERNON, CT — The owner of a once-popular pizza restaurant in Vernon and a diner in Manchester has died at the age of 83.

According to her obituary posted by Pietras family Funeral Homes, Katholiki Georges died peacefully on Dec. 23.

She was was born in 1938, in Vati , Rhodes, Greece. She marred Stelios Georges in 1960 and the couple came to America to "find the American dream." Stanley and Kathy went on to own and operate K & S Luncheonette in Hartford, Silver Lane Diner in Manchester, and Frank & Lin Pizza in Rockville.
