This week, Vernon resident Paul Kretschmer celebrated his 40th anniversary on the staff of WIHS 104.9 FM Christian Radio in Middletown. Paul serves as News Director, host of the WIHS Journal public affairs program, and as an on-air announcer. WIHS is a non-profit, commercial-free radio ministry operated by Connecticut Radio Fellowship. In addition to Kretschmer's full-time staff position, Vernon business owner Drew Crandall serves as President of the station's Board of Directors. The station operates 24/7 on the air and online, sharing hope and encouragement from a Christian perspective.
