Rockville Boys Track And Field Team Takes 3rd Straight League Crown
The Rams set a new NCCC team points record, besting their own previous record.

VERNON, CT — The Rockville High School boys track and field team Tuesday won its third consecutive team title at the North Central Connecticut Conference championship meet at Canton High School.
The Rams amassed 207 points to set a new team standard, beating the old record set by Rockville a year ago. Rockville's 4x800-meter relay team of Emmett Kristoff, Matthew Wodward, Jared Burchell and John Glidden set a meet and school record by winning the event in 8:04.9.

Ram head coach Nicholas Willette said several personal records were set Tuesday, including a shot put throw of 46 feet, 11 inches by Nehamyah Briscoe that was more than 3 feet past his previous best. He took second in the event.

Thomas and Matthew Bannon were within an inch of each other at better than 175 feet while finishing 1-2 in the javelin.

Rockville went into the meet with a 12-0 dual meet record and, with the league meet also counting toward the duals, finished 24-0 in the NCCC, Willette said. The Rams have now gone 24-0 for three straight seasons he added.
