Rockville High School Unified Sports Athletes Take To The Court

VERNON, CT — It was a showcase of unified sports basketball talent Thursday at Rockville High School.

The Rams hooked up with Windsor Locks.

Unified Sports, according to the Special Olympics, joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by the principle that training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. In Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability.
