Rockville High School Welcomes 2024 Hall of Fame Class

VERNON, CT — Over the weekend, three standout players, two coaches and a sports administrator were officially indicted into 2024 class of the Rockville High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

The individuals honored at the 11th annual ceremony were:

  • Jaime H. Mailloux, class of 2000, achieved All-CCC East distinction in each of her four years and winning three conference tennis titles.
  • Karen L. Miller, softball coach from 1974 to 1997, posted 12 seasons of double-digit victories.
  • Jessica A. Mullen, class of 2000, All-CCC East performer in volleyball and softball.
  • Steven R. Phelps, athletic director and administrator from 2004 to 2013, school won two state titles and 15 CCC East championships during his tenure.
  • Edward R. Polanco, class of 1992, three-time All-CCC football selection and a CHSCA Class L All-State honoree.
  • Louis J. Bazzano Jr., an assistant coach and teacher for two decades, will receive the John R. Williams Jr. '62 Exceptional Service Award.

Mullen and Bazzano were honored posthumously.
