VERNON, CT — More than 100 girls youth lacrosse players from the Connecticut Valley Youth Lacrosse network converged on Rockville High School over the weekend for a skills clinic hosted by the University of Connecticut and the Vernon Lacrosse Association.

The entire UConn women's team and head coach Katie Woods came out for the event. The Huskies were a Big East finalist and an NCAA tournament team last spring.

UConn players worked with both groups and individual players from kindergarten through Grade 8 on personal skills, team skills and lacrosse concepts.
