Vernon Hosting North Central Connecticut Job Fair
The North Central Connecticut Job Fair is slated for this Thursday.

VERNON, CT – The town of Vernon, in partnership with the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce and Capital Workforce Partners, is hosting the North Central Connecticut Job Fair this Thursday.
The hours are 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Vernon Center Middle School.
The event that will bring together 37 public and private employers from across the region and people seeking jobs. All job seekers are welcome to attend.

"The job fair is a great opportunity to bring together private and public employers from our region and people seeking employment," Vernon Mayor Dan Champagne said. “If you’re looking for a job or have positions available, we hope you’ll attend."
Employers attending include the Vernon Public Schools, the town of Vernon, the Hartford Police Department, United Parcel Service, FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service.

"By participating in our local job fair, we’re not only supporting the growth of our local businesses, but also opening doors of opportunity for job seekers in our community," said Melissa Smith, the executive director of the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce. “"It's a powerful way to connect talent with employers and strengthen the future of our local economy."
