Vernon Officials Seeking Input On American Rescue Plan Funds
Vernon officials want to know what to do with a little bit of federal money.

VERNON, CT — The town of Vernon has received federal funds through the American Rescue Plan Act and is now seeking public input on how to use money.
The funds — about $8.6 million in all — can be used for the following purposes:
- Support for public health expenditures, such as funding COVID-19 mitigation efforts, medical expenses,
- behavioral healthcare, and certain public health and safety staff.
- Addressing negative economic impacts caused by the public health emergency, including economic harm to
- workers, households, small businesses, impacted industries and the public sector.
- Replacing public sector revenue lost due to the pandemic.
- Investing in clean drinking water, supporting vital wastewater and storm water infrastructure, and expanding
- Broadband internet access.
Residents can visit the Town website, www.vernon-ct.gov, and click on a form to submit their input.
