Vernon Residents Encouraged To Ride With Paul Revere
"Two Lights for Tomorrow," is a nationwide initiative to begin celebrating America's 250th birthday and Vernon residents are invited.
VERNON, CT — Vernon’s America 250 Committee has a unique request for residents as part of its first activity marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and our nation’s founding.
That is, to ride withy Paul Revere.
The event is called "Two Lights for Tomorrow," a nationwide initiative to begin celebrating America's 250th birthday.

On April 18, 1775, Paul Revere made his famous "one of by land, two if by sea," ride. Residents are being asked to shine two lights in a doorway, in a window, or on a front step on the night of April 18 to commemorate Revere's ride.
The 250th celebration will culminate with activities on July 4, 2026.
