VERNON, CT — A new drive-through coffee concept is about to open in Vernon.

Opening day for 7Brew Drive Thru Coffee is set for April 28 — a Monday. Special "friends and family" hours are slated for the three days prior. It is located at the Tri-City Plaza at 35 Talcottville Road.

"Everything looks good and we're excited to bring 7Brew to our hometown," said Vernon native Kiran Kapoor, who is partnering with here sister, Sharon Parmar and their husbands Manraj Parmar and Rohan Kapoor.

In late January, demolition work began on the old Vernon Denny's to make way for the 7Brew. Four months earlier, Sharon Parmar, who said the Tri-City Plaza was "a big part of my weekends" when growing up, announced the family was returning to Vernon to open the business. Kiran Kapoor said their first 7Brew in Wallingford was being embraced.

Said Sharon Parmar, "For Kiran and me, the Vernon location is particularly special, as we both grew up in the area. I used to live just up the road and attended Lake Street Elementary and Rockville High School," Parmar said. "Opening a business in a plaza I spent so much time in growing up feels like a full-circle moment."

Kiran attended East Catholic High School.

7Brew is housed in a prefabricated 510-square foot building that was literally dropped into place.

The 7 Brew experience includes customers being greeted by staffers, who take orders over two drive-through lanes (similar to Chick-fil-A). There is no inside seating.

"A staff member is with a customer from order to pick-up," Sharon Parmar said.

7Brew has been busy this week with "drops" to places like hospitals and the police department. Local businesses can order samples via info@7brewct.com.
