That was the word from a placard posted on the door this week, which proclaimed June 30 as the first day in business. Shah's Halal is occupying the vacancy between the GNC store and ShopRite supermarket.

Shah’s Halal started as a food cart in 2005 at 121st Street and Liberty Avenue in the Richmond Hill section of Queens in New York City. In 2016, it opened its first Long Island branch with the goal in mind of becoming, "the best Halal food restaurant in Long Island, NY," has been growing ever since.
