Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Hartford, Tolland County
The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for the chance of sleet and snow accumulation. Here's how much to expect.
HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 7 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday for snow and icing concerns. There is also a chance for some light snow accumulation on Sunday too.
The weather service said for late tonight and early Saturday, "Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch."
"Plan on slippery road conditions," the weather service adds. "The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. The potential exists for accumulating snow later Sunday into Monday with the best chance across the interior."

Saturday: Rain with a chance of freezing rain in the morning, then partly sunny in the afternoon. Ice accumulation around a trace. Highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 20s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph in the evening.
Sunday: Rain likely. Highs in the upper 30s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
