Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Hartford/Tolland County

HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory which is in effect from 7 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

"Freezing rain. Ice accumulations of up to one tenth of a light glaze," the weather service said. "...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute."

Tonight
A chance of snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 2am, then a chance of freezing rain between 2am and 4am, then a chance of snow and freezing rain after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.

Tuesday
A slight chance of snow before 8am, then a slight chance of rain between 8am and 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
