The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the region. Here is what you need to know.
HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory which is in effect from 7 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
"Freezing rain. Ice accumulations of up to one tenth of a light glaze," the weather service said. "...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute."

A chance of snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 2am, then a chance of freezing rain between 2am and 4am, then a chance of snow and freezing rain after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.
