Dickinson Proposes Slight Tax Increase
The Wallingford mayor met with Town Council members Thursday to unveil his proposed budget.

Taxes next year will go up only a bit under Mayor William Dickinson's proposed 2013-14 budget.
The Meriden Record-Journal reported Friday that the mayor met with members of the Town Council Thursday to unveil his proposal that includes a 0.24 mill increase to the current mill rate of 25.98.

Under that increase, the owner of an average home in Wallingford valued at just under $200,000 would see their taxes increase $46, the paper reports.
Dickenson cut department requests, according to the report.
